This Physical Education course will give students a strong nutrition foundation including basic macronutrients, making healthy choices in everyday situations, as well as some assignments relating to creating a food log and a meal plan for various populations. In addition, the activity portion of this course will involve workouts using the TrainHeroic application, in which students will learn foundation movements for general physical preparedness. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about how to create a workout plan, and will be following a workout plan as part of the course activity to encourage physical activity during the summer. Upon course completion, students will earn one season of P.E. credit.
