Important Application Dates

Thursday, March 1, 2018:
The application process opens. All applications must be submitted after this date and not before March 1, 2018.

Friday, March 30, 2018:
The application process closes. No applications will be accepted after this date.

April 1-April 15, 2018: 
All applications received will be reviewed and processed. 
The hiring process takes 4-6 weeks, so be certain to check your email frequently during the months of April and May.

April 16-May 15, 2018: 
All applicants will receive a response to their application by this date.

Please be sure to use an active email account on your application, and check your email frequently after applying. The email address you use on your application will be the primary method of contacting you. If you do not check your email you may miss an employment offer! If your email address changes after you have applied, please call the Summer Programs Office to update your information. 

SummerTimes Pay Scale
The pay scale for Summer Programs employees as counselors is based on the following qualifications:
New hire: $55/day
1-2 years experience: $60/day
3-4 years experience: $65/day
5+ years experience: $70-$75/day

Other positions such as instructors, camp office personnel, management assistants, and extended care counselors are available and those pay scales are based on applicant's experience and the position's level of responsibility.

Have a Particular Camp in Mind?
The camp directors are responsible for their own hiring. If you would like to work at a specific camp, please contact the camp director and express your interest. Employment Agreement
Please note that acceptance of a job offer with the SSSAS Summer Programs Office is classified as an “at-will employment agreement.” If a camp you are scheduled to work in is canceled, we can not guarantee alternate employment but will do our best to find you another position for that week.

Summer Programs Office
St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School is an independent, college-preparatory, coed, day, Episcopal Church School that educates students in junior kindergarten through grade 12. The school consists of three, age-appropriate campuses (Lower, Middle, and Upper School) in Alexandria, Virginia. SSSAS welcomes families of all faiths.
