6th Grade English Prep

This course will help rising Middle School students hone their skills in English. Students will be introduced to and carefully guided through the fundamentals of close reading and annotating, particularly with literary works, to build their comprehension skills. Analytical writing and grammar lessons will occur in conjunction with their reading to give students an authentic experience of Middle School English. Students will complete the course having developed two analytical paragraphs to ensure they feel confident when classes begin in the fall.

Interested students can combine this course with 6th Grade Math Prep to create a full-day experience.
