Exploring Photography Through Play
In this fun and interactive class, campers will step into the world of photography and learn how cameras help tell stories about the world around us. Each day, campers will explore the science of photography, learning about technical skills, such as focus and blur, exposure and lighting, and motion and movement. Through these lessons, campers will explore how a small adjustment can change a photo in big ways. Use of interactive games, creative challenges, and scavenger hunts will help campers better understand how cameras work and what makes a strong image. We will look at famous photography examples, review our own photos together, and talk about what we notice in our pictures. By the end of the course, students will have a better understanding of cameras, the basics of photography, and have a portfolio that represents their own unique photographic eye!
Click & Create Photography Camp is led by SSSAS faculty member, Ms. Cadie McNaboe. If you have any questions specific to the camp, please contact Ms. McNaboe at cmcnaboe@sssas.org.
