Explore drawing and painting
This course for high school students is a comprehensive introduction to foundational drawing and painting techniques. Projects are designed to aid in the acquisition and development of basic observational skills. Students explore the basic elements of mark-making, line, surface, value, and composition through various media: charcoal, watercolor, collage, and oil-painting methods. Ultimately, students will come away with new vocabulary and several pieces for their developing portfolios. All materials will be provided.
