Summertimes offers two distinct types of summer programming: Day Camps and Academic Programs.
Enjoy the Outdoors While Painting
Let’s draw and paint outdoors! In this class, we will focus on the basics of drawing using the sighting and block-in method, enjoying some fresh air while keeping socially distant, of course! Over the 5 days, students will produce a series of drawings and paintings that capture the local landscape. Topics will include composition, drawing, paint application, color mixing, and materials. Individual instruction will be offered each day, as well as demonstrations. All materials will be provided; however, students should arrive with a hat, comfortable shoes, sunscreen, bug repellant, water bottle, bag lunch, and snacks.
Contact SSSAS faculty member and 2D visual arts teacher, Mrs. Kate Elkins, with your questions at firstname.lastname@example.org. This course provides one semester credit toward graduation requirements.
Please note: This is a one-week, full-day course.
