Get Your Lacrosse Sticks Ready!
Saints alumna Jen Holden ’05 will return to SSSAS to share her Division I lacrosse skills with rising K-7 graders. This dynamic camp is open to any local players, beginners through advanced, who are looking to have a fun week while improving their lacrosse skills.
We will have two fields of players in order to refine skills and work closely with individual players. Field one will consist of kindergartners through rising third graders, focusing on fundamental skills; catching, throwing, cradling, field positioning and team concepts. This field will house our youngest rising stars, cultivating an atmosphere of teamwork and love for the game. Hand/eye coordination and ball control will be practiced through interactive games and activities. Staff will include current SSSAS players and collegiate athletes.
Field two will consist of rising fourth-seventh graders, focusing on specific skills, game concepts, game situations, body position, and refined ball control. Staff will include SSSAS varsity players and other collegiate athletes. On each field, players will be divided into age and ability groups to further specialize and improve skills.
Campers are responsible for supplying their own equipment, including protective eyewear, stick, and mouth guard. Campers can either bring their own lunch or order lunch through the Summertimes website. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase during camp hours. This camp is being offered as a full or half-day program. Full-day registration is highly recommended so campers can truly benefit from all the camp has to offer. We look forward to another great year of camp – see you out on the field!
