Start Your Studio Career!
Music Recording and Production Camp provides beginner songwriters, electronic music composers, and beat makers a solid introduction to the world of mixing, engineering, and producing. This camp is the perfect place to start for young artists interested in writing and recording their own music using an IOS device. Campers will learn how to record vocals and live instruments, layer sounds, create original beats, import samples, mix down their compositions, and download their music to share with others. Campers learn how to make their own music using the GarageBand application; as one of the most popular and beginner-friendly applications for music production, GarageBand is a perfect place to start for first-time producers. Plus, it’s free! Campers will either bring their own a MacBook laptop or iPad, or a loaner device will be provided.
Music Recording and Production Camp is directed by Mr. Vaughn Ambrose, the chair and faculty member of the SSSAS Performing Arts Department. Please contact Mr. Ambrose with any questions at vambrose@sssas.org.
