Explore the exciting world of robotics!
Robotics Engineering Camp will be a hands-on, immersive experience for campers in which they can build for speed or build for power. Campers will design and build a robot from scratch, learning all the components of a simple robot. Using “GoBuilda” metal frameworks, campers will attach gears, axles, and wheels to chassis. Campers will then enable movement via block computer code using an REV robotics control hub.
And then the competition begins! Campers will test their robots against other campers’ robots for power in a “tug-a-war” style competition. Additionally, campers will test their robots’ speed and agility as they race their robots through an obstacle course.
Robotics Engineering Camp is directed by SSSAS Middle School teachers Mr. David Hunsicker (Tech Education) and Mr. Robert Davis (Science). Please contact Mr. Hunsicker at dhunsicker@sssas.org, or Mr. Davis at rdavis@sssas.org, with any questions about this camp.
