Experience the art and process of printmaking
Have you ever thought about how the first humans made their mark? Then come explore the artistic process of printmaking! Each day of camp will begin with a bit of practical history to give meaning to the age-old processes of printmaking. Students will have the opportunity to make prints in clay, carve and etch to make printing plates, and even print with a real fish. The last day will be a day of discovery in combining techniques into one magical artwork, or creating several extraordinary miniature works. Students should be prepared to get messy and have fun!
Art of Printmaking is directed by SSSAS Lower School art teacher, Ms. Cindy Heid. Please contact Ms. Heid at cheid@sssas.org with any questions related to this camp.
