$400.00In Escape Room Camp, campers will learn the basics of escape rooms and code making. Escape rooms are themed rooms that require you to solve a variety of clues and codes to “escape the room” in a given amount of time. In this camp, students will create individual Escape Rooms in a box, designed for small groups or individuals to decode and solve to unlock the final solution. We will start by learning a variety of codes and ciphers, including how to create our own clues for an escape room box. Once the campers have a basic understanding of codes and clue making, they will use their knowledge to create multi-step cyphers and puzzles that will fit inside their individual box. For example, students may include a cypher that provides a lock combination when solved, and the lock opens a small chest with the next clue inside. These boxes will be reusable (and re-wrapped with fresh paper) so the camper can reset it as many times as they’d like. At the end of the camp, campers will swap boxes with each other so that they can try out different “escape rooms.” Many activities will take place outdoors, and materials will be individual or be sanitized between uses. This will be a great camp for students who love puzzles, riddles, and creatively putting together a series of clues that will be engaging and fun!
