Session I: June 15 - June 19
Session II: June 22 - June 26
Middle School Campus

In Podcasting, campers will spend the week learning about audio recording and production along with concepts and principles based on broadcast journalism as practiced by NPR. Your young reporters and podcasters will pitch and develop an idea, write a script, conduct their own interviews, record themselves and produce audio pieces for their very own podcast. At the end of the week, each camper will receive an online link of their work to share with friends and family. The week will also include visits from active public radio employees, as well as a tour of NPR headquarters in Washington DC (parents are welcome to meet us for the tour and lunch).
The camp is led by Camp Director Chad Campbell, who has worked for two decades in radio, primarily at NPR and Sirius XM Satellite Radio. Feel free to contact Mr. Campbell at ccampbell@sssas.org with any questions you may have about the camp.
