Morning adventures with new friends!
This engaging, half-day camp, designed for our 3 and 4 year old campers, is all about creativity, exploration, and fun! The Junior Day Camp is based out of SSSAS’s Reggio Emilia-inspired JK and Kindergarten classrooms, where our experienced and highly-trained staff of early childhood teachers create a magical summer experience in a safe and nurturing environment.
At Junior Day Camp, young campers will engage in various enrichment activities such as arts and crafts, building, puzzles, story-time, and singing. Campers will also spend plenty of time outdoors exploring the various playgrounds, playing in the water, and building with Imagination Playground block sets. In addition to thoughtful educational and recreational programming, we also focus on helping our campers develop appropriate social, emotional, and life skills such as empathy and self-sufficiency.
For those campers who sign up for multiple sessions, Junior Day Camp explores different themes every week to ensure our campers have the opportunity to tackle new activities and adventures throughout the summer! Some example themes are community helpers, camping, and animal adventures.
We have limited full-day spots for Jr Day Camp. Priority for these full-day spots will be given to SSSAS Early Saints students if they register between January 16 – January 22. All campers registering for the full-day option between January 16 – January 22 will automatically be waitlisted, and you will be notified on January 23 if your camper has received a spot for your requested week(s). Beginning January 23, any remaining full-day spots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
*Please note that campers must be three years old and fully toilet-trained before the start of camp. Campers cannot wear pull-ups or diapers to camp.*
There will be no camp on Monday, June 19th in observation of the Juneteenth federal holiday, and Tuesday, July 4th in observation of the Independence Day federal holiday.
The Junior Day Camp is directed by SSSAS Lower School staff members, Ms. Katie Murray and Ms. Mary Kelley. Please contact Ms. Murray with your questions at kmurray@sssas.org, or Ms. Kelley at mkelley@sssas.org.
