Counselor-In-Training Camp

Rising Grades 7-10
9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
June 24-28
Lower School Campus

Feeling too old for summer camp, but not old enough to work? Under the direction of Saints alumna, Summer Programs veteran and Kindergarten teacher Eleanor Shaw (returning for her fourth year), campers will learn what it takes to be a camp counselor. This interactive Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program is a full-day course.

Are you ready to learn to take on a leadership role with team-building activities? As a CIT, you will learn the skills it takes to work with children in a camp setting, and then use those skills in actual camp classes. In addition, you will spend time writing cover letters, resumes, and participating in mock interviews. Campers are counseled on how to apply to a variety of programs. First Aid and CPR certifications are included in the program and look great on a resume! The content will be differentiated so that returning campers build on their skills from previous years.
